Dr. Mr. Merijn Eikelenboom (Amsterdam UMC)

Merijn Eikelenboom has studied Dutch Law at the University of Amsterdam. Since 2003 he has held various positions in the research department of GGZ inGeest and VUmc Psychiatry. Currently, he is the operations manager research at the Psychiatry Department of Amsterdam UMC and project manager of some large psychiatric cohort studies, e.g. The Netherlands Study of Depression and Anxiety (NESDA) and The Netherlands Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Association (NOCDA) study. In addition, he is also a senior researcher there, with a focus on suicide prevention and he is a member of the management team of the SURE-Net consortium (Suicide Research Netherlands).
